Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill & Ecosystem Science Conference

The Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative has been a sponsor and founding member of the Executive Committee of the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill and Ecosystem Science (GoMOSES) conference since it began in 2013. Annually, the GoMOSES conference brought together hundreds of oil spill-related experts from academia, state and federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and industry to share the latest oil spill and ecosystem scientific discoveries, innovations, technologies, and policies. The GoMOSES conference sought to link fundamental research on the Gulf ecosystem to practical application and generated at least 150 sessions, some 2000 presentations, and countless discussions, partnerships, and new projects. GoMOSES became one of the premier conferences to share Gulf-related research, and its legacy will continue through its successor, the Gulf of Mexico Conference.
