Research Board Requests Proposals to Establish Consortia to Study Effects of Deepwater Horizon on the Gulf of Mexico
GoMRI has created a selection process that includes an open Request for Proposals, peer review of the submissions, selection of the Research Consortia to study the five research themes, and award of funds during the summer of 2011.
The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) is May 9, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. EDT. No proposal will be accepted without an LOI.
The Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) Research Board announced today the availability of a minimum of $37.5 million per year to establish four to eight Research Consortia to study the effects of the Deepwater Horizon incident on the Gulf of Mexico.
