Dispatches from the Gulf Documentary at Sci-Port Explores the Future of the Gulf

A free public showing of the documentary and presentations by Dr. Gary Checchine and Dr. Natalia Sidorovskaia to be held at Sci-Port as the five-year anniversary of Deepwater Horizon oil spill approaches.
(From ArkLaTex Homepage) — The Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative is presenting a showing of the documentary Dispatches from the Gulf to the public to inform residents on the present ecological condition and future outlook for the Gulf.
The documentary features scientists from around the globe and explores their research, which spans from climate variability to marine life to wave and fluid dynamics.
The 55-minute film explains how these scientists are working together to understand the environmental impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and how to move forward.
An addition to showing the film, guest speakers Dr. Gary Cecchine and Dr. Natalia Sidorovskaia will hold a question and answer session.
