Please join us for “An Evening with Rita Colwell: Science, Sexism, and the Fight against the Status Quo.” The virtual event will take place on Wednesday, December 2 from 5:00-6:00pm EST.  Dr. Colwell will be discussing her new book, A Lab of One’s Own: One Woman’s Personal Journey Through Sexism in Science, and reflect on her personal science journey in conversation with Kirk Johnson, Sant Director of the National Museum of Natural History.  Colwell will share stories from her life, her favorite scientific discoveries, and how she continues to inspire the next generation of barrier challenging scientists. This program is presented in partnership with Smithsonian.
